The PINK Boat Tour, was created by Andre Lamothe in March 2013 as a way of marketing Naden Boats while supporting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Because each Naden Boat is individually painted with an electrostatic process, Andre was able to paint one single 14’ Naden Fisherman – hot PINK. He packaged it together with a 15hp Tohatsu outboard and Yacht Club trailer and along with the  Ontario Naden Boat Dealers took it on the road. That summer, the little PINK boat travelled several thousand kilometers to over 14 events in Northern Ontario where participating Naden dealers sold raffle tickets at marina and community events.

AndreThe 2013 tour raised $19,500.  

With his untimely death, Andre will not see the 2014 tour to the end.  Andre’s family have requested that any memorial tributes be made to The PINK Boat Tour. Andre’s leadership and energy is what transformed The PINK Boat Tour from a single marketing event – into a passion. On September 7th, Andre single-handedly sold $850 worth of tickets at Temagami’s Grampstock – a one night event of old time rock music. Andre was an ardent support of the Canadian recreational marine industry and a huge supporter of Northern
Ontario.  

He will be missed.
