Skyline Marina’s Aquapalooza 2012 event is fast approaching!!! On Saturday July 21/12, from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM, please join the Skyline Marina Team for an ON-WATER PARTY at Papoose Bay, located on the southern end of Beausoleil Island, Georgian Bay. Water Access Only Coordinates 44.847563N 79.858332W

AQUAPALOOZA is an invitation to ALL boaters and promises to be a fun-filled family day on the water with water activities for the kids and fantastic prize giveaways. The Erie Canal – An Extraordinary Waterway

As I shift our chartered canal boat into neutral, I’m soothed by the soundtrack of bird calls, the occasional plaintive horn of a distant train and the hum of our engine.

I reach for the VHF to radio the lockmaster in charge of Erie Canal’s Lock 32 dead ahead. Our boat spins gently in the current like a maple key in a mud puddle.

“This is Onondaga,” I say. “Headed westbound and requesting passage.”
