L’équipe Royal Van/West Van remporte le Lightning Youth Worlds

Une équipe canadienne de Vancouver, composée de Rory Walsh, Andre Deseau et Gustave Deseau, a remporté le Championnat du monde junior Lightning 2026 qui s’est tenu du 22 au 26 juin à Järvenpää, en Finlande.

Deux autres équipes canadiennes ont également participé à l’événement, où 16 bateaux ont pris le départ. Il s’agit de Cameron Whalley, Teagan Hansen et Monica Walsh, représentant le Temple Reef Sailing Club de Thunder Bay, qui ont pris la 11e place, tandis qu’Isabelle Stack, Reese Levinson et Brooke Adam, représentant le Buffalo Canoe Club (situé à Crystal Beach, en Ontario), ont terminé à la 13e place.
