Scrub Island to add new petrol station for island-hoppers

Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina has announced plans for the addition of a new petrol station at its 55-slip marina. Opening in fall 2022, the new station will offer a capacity of 10,000 gallons of diesel fuel to both leased and transient dockers. With five slips for mega yachts up to 160 feet, and a long list of amenities, the Scrub Island marina is a popular berth for exploring the British Virgin Islands, one of the world’s most desirable sailing and boating destinations.

In addition to the new petrol pumps, the Scrub Island marina offers fresh water, electricity, trash service, ice and provisioning, which can be ordered online for pickup at the Scrub Island Outpost, where crews can choose from gourmet foods, fresh produce, meats, seafood, beer, wine, spirits and more. Slip rental includes access to Marina Village, with two restaurant, the award-winning Ixora Spa, Dive BVI dive shop, Offshore Sailing School and Boaters Republic boutique. Additional amenities and services include complimentary resort-wide Wi-Fi, use of guest showers, swimming pools, water slide and hot tub, 24-hour fitness facility, water sports equipment and use of the resort’s scheduled ferry service to and from Trellis Bay.

Spotted! Canadian Boating in Antigua & Barbuda

I wore my Canadian Boating cap everywhere I went in Antigua, for the sun, not for the shout-outs. But I sure received a lot of them.

Antigua Sailing Week is an international regatta that draws sailors of every level and spectators from all over the world.
