Hey, sun seekers and boating enthusiasts, listen up! We’ve got a super cool photo contest that will make your winter feel like summer. If you’re currently living the boat life in the warmer sunny destinations, snap a pic of your sun-soaked boating adventures and send them our way to the: theporthole@cps-ecp.ca.

But wait, there’s more! We want you to include a caption with your photo that tells us a little bit about yourself, your location, and why you love boating there. And don’t forget to send us high-res images because we want to see every detail of your amazing shots!

You can also vote for your favourite photo on our Instagram @cpsboat. The photo with the most likes by March 31 will win a prize from Aqua Map navigation app and be featured in The Port Hole magazine, as well as our OnBoard and À bord newsletters published by Canadian Boating.

There is nothing more that I enjoy than being with friends and messing about in boats. Messing about in brand-new boats on a champagne sailing day on Lake Ontario at the beginning of the summer doesn’t get any better. To have the new owner, Helmuth Strobel and Anchor Yachts dealer Pancho Jimenez aboard made it even more special, as they can also speak to what they truly enjoy about the boat. True to the spirit of the 7th generation Oceanis line, the 34.1 is built in Poland and replaces the 35.1. It is 1,000 lbs lighter, 14 cm narrower and has 29% more sail area.

Peter Island Resort in the British Virgin Islands has opened its rebuilt and re-envisioned luxury private island in 2024 after the property closures from the Virgin Islands’ 2017 hurricane season.
