CSBC

July 25, 2019

On September 16th and 17th, the Canadian Safe Boating Council will be hosting a Cold Water Immersion Workshop at the Port Credit Yacht Club in Ontario. The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Gordon Giesbrecht (aka Professor Popsicle), world-renowned expert in hypothermia and cold injuries.

There are two options provided:

September 16: A one-day general interest workshop for those simply wanting to learn more about the realities of cold water immersion and hypothermia. The cost is $185.

September 16/17: A train the trainer workshop with the tools for you to teach these important concepts to others. The cost is $400.

Workshops will consist of both classroom and dockside (practical) instruction.

You probably have never thought of yourself as a first responder but wouldn’t it be good to know what to do if you were simply out boating and someone in the water depended on you for their very survival. This workshop will provide all you need to know!

Lunches and snacks are provided. For more information and to register, go to www.csbc.ca under Events. Register Now!
