After more than 37 years in business and over 3000 boats in service- from our own West Coast to the waters of Peru and Egypt. Lifetimer Boats is known for a product that is not only both high quality and durability, but is competitively priced in the boating industry. Lifetimer is a reputable company with long-time memberships in Boating BC, BC Marine Trades Association and the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC).

Eric Duncan and Geoff Howard fished, played and worked around boats while growing up on Vancouver Island. The two of them started Lifetimer Boats after realizing no one was building the type of boats they would like to own… boats that would stand up to as much fishing, skiing and rough water adventuring as a boat enthusiast could ever want.

Life Timer On The WaterSince the company began in 1980 it has branched out into building commercial boats, fabricating aluminum equipment for the Aquaculture industry and general fabrication- all areas where quality and value are the key to success.

As of the summer of 2000, Geoff has retired and Eric is now the sole owner of Lifetimer. Both he and his team are more dedicated than ever to expanding our market into the U.S and globally. Lifetimer Boats is committed to building boats that satisfy the most demanding requirements of people who know boats. The team of designers, draftsmen, welders, fitters, mechanics and office/sales staff who make up Lifetimer today, are also determined to make the company and its products simply the best on the market.

The Erie Canal – An Extraordinary Waterway

By Mark Stevens

As I shift our chartered canal boat into neutral, I’m soothed by the soundtrack of bird calls, the occasional plaintive horn of a distant train and the hum of our engine.

I reach for the VHF to radio the lockmaster in charge of Erie Canal’s Lock 32 dead ahead. Our boat spins gently in the current like a maple key in a mud puddle.

“This is Onondaga,” I say. “Headed westbound and requesting passage.”
