Tech Gear: New Raymarine IP Camera

October 8, 2026

Teledyne Raymarine has recently introduced the CAM400, a compact marine IP camera that transforms any compatible Raymarine Axiom chartplotter into a powerful onboard video monitoring system. Designed to help boaters see more of their vessel without leaving the helm, CAM400 delivers high-definition day and night video for enhanced visibility aboard powerboats, sailing vessels, commercial craft and responder boats.

CAM400 gives captains and crew a clear view of important areas around the boat including the cockpit, aft deck, swim platform, side decks, blind spots, utility spaces and other locations that may be difficult to monitor from the helm. It also provides a rear-facing view for backing and helps users keep an eye on crew, passengers and activity around the vessel.

Designed for both recreational and professional mariners, CAM400 gives users an easy way to extend the helm’s view. Its compact design, wide-angle lens and reliable day-and-night performance make it suitable for a wide range of monitoring applications, whether underway, docking or at anchor.

For an expanded navigation view, CAM400 works with the Raymarine AR200 sensor to support ClearCruise™ Augmented Reality. The system combines live camera video with navigation overlays on a compatible display, including AIS targets and waypoints, to provide additional visual context and enhance situational awareness. CAM400 and AR200 are also offered together in bundled packages.

CAM400 builds on Raymarine’s long-standing expertise in marine electronics and navigation technology. Designed specifically for the marine environment, it integrates seamlessly with Raymarine Axiom chartplotters and the broader Raymarine ecosystem, providing a versatile video solution for a wide range of onboard applications.

The Whitsunday Islands

We cruised northeast on a 15-knot beam reach… perfect catamaran sailing conditions, watching the hazy shapes of the islands colourize and morph into crescent beaches, jungled ridgelines and rocky outcrops.
