Joignez-vous au Conseil canadien de la sécurité nautique pour prendre part à un atelier captivant et instructif sur l’immersion en eaux froides que se tiendra le 14 mai 2026, de 7 h 00 à 15 h 30, au Toronto Harbour Nautical Centre, 275 Queens Quay West, Toronto, ON.

L’atelier couvrira les sujets suivants :

  • Comprendre les mythes qui entourent l’immersion en eaux froides et l’hypothermie,
  • Comment notre corps réagit aux stimuli de chaleur et de froid,
  • Ce qui se passe lorsque notre corps est immergé en eaux froides,
  • Immersion vs submersion en eaux froides,
  • Premiers secours de base (techniques d’extraction, emballage et transport) et d’autres sujets de sensibilisation aux eaux froides.

Coût de 185 $.

I’ve been to Tahiti seven times—six on charter and once as crew for a couple of yachties. Over the 25 years that I’ve been visiting, it’s changed dramatically. Yet, inexplicably, it has also stayed the same.
