POTW: Go Blo

October 23, 2025

As winter approaches, summer begins in New Zealand.  Perhaps it’s time for you to head to Kiwi-land and take up Blokarting.  Like many New Zealand sports, this looks eccentric and fun.

The Blokart design was developed in 1999 by Paul Beckett, Tauranga, NZ. Beckett would later say. “It had to be portable, it had to be able to be assembled by a nine-year-old and it had to be usable by a nine-year-old or a grandfather.”

Here’s what you will be driving when you get to the Manawatu Blokart Club in Sanson, New Zealand.

Got a great picture for OnBoard?  Send it along to john@opmediagroup.ca  and we will line it up for a future POTW photo of the week!
