POTW: Elbows Up – a US Surprise from Ogdensburg NY via Brockville

Elbows Up

July 10, 2025

Matt Wren, the Mayor of Brockville ON, writes (via FB):

“The Elbows Up for Canada event in Ogdensburg NY reportedly drew a couple hundred people today. While the flotilla aspect was quite small, it was very kind of some of the participants to make their way up river and show support. Some of my family and I greeted them on the water.

Our cross border relationships go deep and they will certainly prevail through current tensions.

“Today’s gesture was kind and appreciated. “
