Bruce Thompson of Tern Boatworks sent an update on the build of the custom Laurie McGowan designed 48ft motorsailer

“Here is a brief rundown of the work on going. We are installing water and fuel tanks, fore peak and master cabin have staving fitted and primed ready for topcoat paint. Then these cabins can be trimmed out with woodwork that will be varnished. The aft cabin sole framing is being installed while the hull, sheer and decks are getting final fairing in preparation for primer coat. The forward cabin has deck beams fitted and deck head is going down, battery boxes and shelves for equipment under the cabin sole his almost complete.”

This is the largest custom yacht being built in the region at this time. We’ll check back when she’s closer to launch.
