VIRS Race results

The V.I.R.S. (Vancouver Island Racing Series), celebrates and promotes keelboat racing on Vancouver Island in regattas, which are then combined into a year long series.

Antony Zeger in his Kirby 25 “Ducati” from Canadian Forces Sailing Association,Esquimalt is the Vancouver Island Racing Series 2016 winner.

New this year, “The Team Trophy Award”, went to CFSA Esquimalt, by placing four boats in the Top Ten including Ducati, Pitoraq, Jaguar and Jack Rabbit.

A “VIRS” Participant Forum will be at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club on November 19th. The purpose of of the meeting is to discuss the coming years schedule, regatta formats, scoring, safety regs, and handicapping among other things.

Canada’s Superior: the North Shore

Since then we’ve repowered, installed Starlink, and retired from work. Now, with confidence in our engine and our connectivity and more time to sail, we were Superior-ready.
