Seventy 7, a New Big Name in Yachting

Lagoon Seventy7

Sept 6, 2016

The SEVENTY 7, Lagoon’s new flagship, will be exhibited for its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival from 6 to 11 September 2016 and then at the Barcelona boat show from 12 to 16 October.

This “gentle giant”, born from the pencil strokes of VPLP naval architects in collaboration with Patrick Le Quément and interior design firm Nauta, offers a new vision of the world of superyachts. Henceforth, thanks to the SEVENTY 7, interior and exterior are inextricably linked to provide an unprecedented on-board lifestyle. From the large aft platform to the saloon-forward cockpit, by way of the immense flybridge, all the spaces have been designed for a previously unknown feeling of freedom and pleasure of use.

Nor is the interior overlooked. With 2 choices of galley layout and a number of cabins that can range from 3 to 5 (plus one for the crew), this superyacht can be tailored to all requirements: coastal cruising, ocean voyaging, circumnavigation, charter…

Finally, the most striking innovation, which will certainly be the most remarked-upon at the autumn boat shows, is the private beach. Accessible from the owner’s cabin, this new technological gem, which is totally unprecedented on a catamaran, promises an incredible experience and contact with the sea!

Bennington 22 MSB

If you’ve already had firsthand experience with a pontoon, you will easily understand the appeal of the Bennington 22 MSB. But if you haven’t, let’s start by reviewing a few of the reasons why pontoon boats have become top sellers in markets across North America.

Pontoon boats began in the early 1950s as basically four steel drums lashed to a frame. They were not unlike the log rafts of ancient cultures and not much more sophisticated at first.

The Best of Two Worlds

By Mathew Channer

Interior British Columbia might not be as famous for recreational boating as Canada’s Great Lakes, yet it is no less a world-class boating destination. The mountains offer their own flavour of marine adventure with their series of long, deep ribbon lakes, and there is perhaps no area that embodies this more uniquely than the iconic Okanagan basin in southern B.C. One could be forgiven for assuming this valley was purpose-built for nautical fun, with a few delightful perks thrown in to make the area entirely irresistible (wine-tasting, anyone?).
