Hector Quay Marina

May 24, 2016

Visiting yachts can enjoy the historic town of Pictou with excellent dockage right in the heart of the town’s award winning waterfront. Located on Nova Scotia’s north shore it was here the landing of the Highland Scots whose descendants make up such a large part of the local population. This is history is celebrated at the Hector Heritage Quay which features a full-scale replica the Tall Ship Hector as well as an interpretive centre and working shipyard.

The marina has 40 berths (six reserved for visitors), fresh water, power, laundry, showers and a launch ramp. The central location means a variety of shops, craft market, pubs, restaurants and historic sites are all within a short walk. If you visit on a Sunday or Monday you can enjoy a free concert on the marina stage. Pictou is a popular destination so reservations are recommended particularly during weekends for festivals.
