New Membership Services Associate Joins the Team at the National Office

CPS-ECP is pleased to announce that Ms. Victoria Thompson has joined their team at the CPS-ECP National Office in the position of Membership Services Associate.   She will be responsible for all membership services related functions, membership administration and will support their Districts and Squadrons as needed.

Victoria is bilingual and will provide service in both French and English. By telephone she is available at extension 0159 and she may be reached at vthompson@cps-ecp.ca by email. Ms. Thompson is a recent graduate of Guelph Humber University and has the customer service experience that CPS-ECP requires and was looking.

Should members need any assistance or membership information they may contact Victoria Thompson directly at the National Office – Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. EST.

CPS-ECP looks forward to having Victoria as a key part of their team to serve all members.

The Erie Canal – An Extraordinary Waterway

As I shift our chartered canal boat into neutral, I’m soothed by the soundtrack of bird calls, the occasional plaintive horn of a distant train and the hum of our engine.

I reach for the VHF to radio the lockmaster in charge of Erie Canal’s Lock 32 dead ahead. Our boat spins gently in the current like a maple key in a mud puddle.

“This is Onondaga,” I say. “Headed westbound and requesting passage.”
