Seabreeze Boats of Centreville Newfoundland have been producing their traditionally styled boats since Glen Meadus purchase the company in 2003. These boats represent an evolutionary design based on the traditional small work boats of the Atlantic region. Not flashy, but seaworthy, solid and versatile these boats these are great boats for fishing, cottage or trailerable runabout. Antigonish Rental were at the Halifax Boat Show with several models including the newest 23 footer.

The Erie Canal – An Extraordinary Waterway

As I shift our chartered canal boat into neutral, I’m soothed by the soundtrack of bird calls, the occasional plaintive horn of a distant train and the hum of our engine.

I reach for the VHF to radio the lockmaster in charge of Erie Canal’s Lock 32 dead ahead. Our boat spins gently in the current like a maple key in a mud puddle.

“This is Onondaga,” I say. “Headed westbound and requesting passage.”
