Cameron Shipyards and the “Katie Belle”

Katie Belle Alongside

Feb 10, 2016

Cousins Evan and Nick Densmore have busy been getting their schooner “Katie Belle” rigged and ready for sea trials. With the incredible task of designing and building the 22 metre wooden schooner behind them, they were not put off by the challenge of managing the world’s highest tides to navigate their deep draft vessel down the Stewiacke River and across the Minas Basin to Parrsboro. The schooner’s design is based on traditional Maritime working vessels and should be well suited to her intended purpose in the charter trade. We’ll have lots more about this project in the coming months.
