Sperry Challenge Raises $25,000 for Sailors with Disabilities in Montréal

The 3rd edition of the Sperry Challenge was held on August 29, 2015 at the Royal Saint-Lawrence Yacht Club in Dorval QC. Thirty sailboats from 7 local clubs raced in the pursuit regatta and 43 people enjoyed an afternoon on the water on 6 yachts participating in the Cruise for a Cause. Over 125 people attended the dinner-dance-auction party, a fun and true testament to “Sailors Helping Sailors”.  

Regatta winner: Tof Nicholl-Griffith Martin 16 fleet winner: Jean-François Granger  Carey Price was a generous donor of autographed apparel to help raise funds at the silent auction.

Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
