Invasive Species

You can help prevent the spread.   Learn, Talk, and Take Action.

Invasive Species Awareness Week is an annual event to encourage education about invasive species and inspire people to take an active role in preventing their spread.

This year, the Invasive Species Centre will be celebrating Canadian invasive species achievements, ground breaking research, innovative management efforts and brand new resources.

What are Invasive Species?

Invasive species threaten and transform the wildlife, woodlands, urban forests and waterways that Canadians depend on, costing this country billions of dollars in losses to forestry, agriculture, fisheries and other industries affected by their impact.

Tugnuts.com is quite a unique resource. The online forum has quick links to a chat, info about cruises & gatherings, a channel to ask questions of the Ranger Tugs Factory, Ranger Tugs Technical Discussions, “How to” videos and more.
