Having successfully collaborated for almost 20 years, TUI Marine and South African builder Robertson & Caine have committed to a 10-year renewal of their exclusive distribution and supply agreement. This strategic partnership has resulted in exceptional growth of the award-winning Leopard Catamarans brand.

TUI Marine, which encompasses the two largest yacht charter companies in the world, The Moorings and Sunsail, currently offers over 400 Leopard Catamarans in its global charter fleets. The Leopard Catamarans brand was launched in 2000 and has a vast dealer network selling privately owned Leopards worldwide.

What started as a contract to build 10 boats back in 1995, this partnership is currently projected to deliver over 200 vessels in 2015. Leopard Catamarans is now the #1 selling catamaran brand in North America and #2 globally.

“Robertson & Caine’s solid reputation for producing innovative, convivial, and well performing sail and power catamarans makes renewing this long-term agreement an easy and mutually beneficial decision,” said Franck Bauguil, Vice President of Yacht Ownership and Sales for TUI Marine. “Together, we remain strongly positioned to continue our commitment to providing a range of models that best meet the needs of charter guests and owners.”

John Robertson, Executive Chairman and Co-founder of Robertson & Caine, also expressed his delight on the continued agreement saying, “2015 will mark 20 years and over 1,400 catamarans developed together so we are pleased to continue our successful relationship and look forward to exciting times ahead. We are proud of our product, our brand, and most importantly our people who work hard each day to develop and deliver the best catamarans in the world.”

During this relationship, Leopard Catamarans has added some remarkable credits to its name: “1998 Charter Yacht of the Year”, “2005 Best Overall Import Boat in the USA”, “2005 Best Multihull 40 Feet and Under”, and “2005 Best Boats”. The Leopard 39 was named the “Best Multihull Cruiser”, as well as “Import of the Year” in 2010 and the Leopard 39 / Sunsail 384 won “2010 Best Boats”. The Leopard 44 won “2012 Best Boats”, “2012 Import Boat of the Year” Award, and “2012 Best Multihull Boat of the Year” Award. Most recently, Cruising World Magazine named the Leopard 48 as Boat of the Year for 2013.

The current Leopard Catamarans sail range includes the new Leopard 40 (world debut at Strictly Sail Miami Boat Show 2015), the Leopard 44, Leopard 48, and Leopard 58. Power catamarans include the Leopard 51PC (on display at MIBS 2015) and the Leopard 39PC.
