The Great Lakes Laser Regatta is now a wrap! Congratulations to the 73 participants, making this the largest Master’s Laser event in Canada this year. The event was held in the town of Thornbury west of Collingwood on South Georgian Bay, from July 12 through July 14. The races were held off shore from Thornbury harbour.

Maiden Now in Theatres

The crew is all women led by Tracy Edwards, Dawn Riley and their wonderful crew. In a refurbished boat they won two of the toughest legs sponsored by King Hussein of Jordan. They sailed into Fort Lauderdale dressed in their swimsuits proud to be women. The crowd was overwhelming.

On June 25th, Outer Harbour Marina became the first commercial installation of Seabins in Canada. They had just installed the first two Seabins in the water and we got to see them running, drawing in water and capturing trash down to very small particles of plastic and other materials.
