La MRC d’Avignon pourra mieux intervenir sur l’eau

Bonne nouvelle. Les municipalités de la MRC d’Avignon, dans la Baie-des-Chaleurs, pourront assurer une couverture de risques en matière de sécurité nautique, et cela dès l’été 2023, rapportait le 15 décembre la journaliste Marguerite Morin de Radio-Canada pour ICI Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine.

Certaines de ces municipalités « ont d’ailleurs été ciblées pour accueillir de l’équipement pour des sauvetages nautiques », signalait la journaliste.

« Cette volonté d’obtenir de l’équipement de sauvetage était déjà en branle, mais cette démarche de la MRC est désormais encadrée par une entente intermunicipale.

« Quatre embarcations seront donc déployées sur le territoire, soit à Maria, à Carleton-sur-Mer, à Pointe-à-la-Croix et à Matapédia. »

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
