Cameron Wardlaw in front of Skyline Marina in Woodbridge
The Canadian boating industry lost one of the great ones this past week. Cameron Wardlaw sadly passed away in Barrie at the age of 81.
John Kerr of Kerrwil Publications wrote. “Cameron was so active in all aspects of the recreational boating industry with his energy and effort, he contributed greatly to the foundations this industry relies on today. As the Owner of Skyline, he pioneered and pushed the envelope in creating an integrated, dynamic and powerful dealership.”
“On a personal note as a young media rep, I remember the many times I visited with him and his team over the years and I often remember the quiet coaching and input he offered, as we steered Canadian Yachting though some choppy waters in our earlier days. He helped us a lot and the confidence he gave us meant a ton.”
“Fixed and focused and truly the entrepreneur, would be how I remember him, as well as for his graceful kindness on so many fronts. Cameron Wardlaw, we hope, will be remembered for he did for all of us in the boating industry.”
Founder and operator of Skyline Marina for over 50 years, Cameron Wardlaw passed away peacefully in Barrie on January 27th 2020, in his 81st year.
Lovingly remembered by Julia.
He will be dearly missed by his sister Carole and her husband Alan Ward, niece Ruthanne, nephew Cameron and his wife Alex.
