I am so pleased that CPS-ECP has now completed arrangements for the publication of e-newsletters in both of our official languages. This is a great achievement for us as we modernize our communications tools and the ways in which we share with each other timely and useful information about CPS-ECP activities at all levels of our great organization…
CPS-ECP was on the international stage today at the International Boating and Water Safety Summit meetings in Florida. Chief Commander, Joe Gatfield presented the success of our Safety Equipment Education and Pyrotechnic Flare Disposal Days! In 2014 CPS-ECP volunteers collected 9,300 outdated flares. 2015 dates are coming soon!

Over the past seven decades, Ontario’s marina industry has developed alongside some of Canada’s largest freshwater lakes. Boaters have been able to enjoy the beautiful scenery and create lasting memories on the water, with certain marinas dating back to the 1960s. As we reflect on this rich history, we can begin to see trends in how our footprint may have had an effect on the environment, in not-so-positive ways. However, by embracing innovative solutions and adopting sustainable practices, both marinas and boaters hold the key to preserving and enhancing the quality of our lakes and marine life for generations to come.
