Yards in the Atlantic Region are busy with commercial work but we are interested in hearing about yachts of any type, amateur or professional, that are being built in our region. Send us photos, updates and we’ll make you famous.

The International One Design (IOD) project is moving quickly at South Shore Marine in Chester. Boat builder Paul Benoit sent us these photos of Zephyr II. South Shore is also busy sending parts for the NorseBoat 17 to Big Pond Boat Shop where work continues on the boat destined for Australia.

Beneteau America announces the U.S. premiere of the all-new Oceanis 35 at the upcoming Annapolis Sailboat Show, October 9-13 2014.  The Oceanis 35 is being introduced on the heels of the world-acclaimed Oceanis 38, which made its debut last fall and was awarded European Yacht of the Year 2014 along with Best Boat 2014 in the U.S. by the publishers of SAIL magazine. What’s New at The 2014 Seattle Boat Show?

There is a lot to look at and take in at the Seattle Boat Show (Indoors +Afloat) and always something new for boating enthusiasts of every persuasion. The 2014 Show will be notable for a number of new boat brands, brands returning who have been absent from the Show for a few years and  more than 35 new accessories exhibitors in the East Hall and Concourse.  The Seattle Boat Show is the largest show on the West Coast and the third largest in the U.S., and as such it is often the place where manufacturers choose to debut their new models.  2014 is no exception.

Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
