Steven Bull is first and foremost an avid boater. Along with his wife and 7-year-old son, who join in the adventures from time-to-time, they own three boats (five when you include the kayaks).
He’s also an award-winning broadcaster with a decade-and-a-half of experience on three continents. He’s worked as a news reporter, a sports host (including during the 2020/2022 Olympics) and co-hosted PowerBoat Television for five years.
He was the Sports Host for the Canadian Screen Award-winning “Morning Live with Heather Hiscox” on CBC News Network (Best Morning Show 2022).
In this episode from Water Ways’ new season, The Science of Boating, Steven brings a special guest, Neil deGrasse Tyson, – astrophysicist, best-selling author, and host of the @StarTalk podcast on board the “pocket cruiser” with answers to questions like how do big ships float? How can a small propellor move big boats so fast? Why don’t the doors in locks collapse under the pressure of an entire lake?
