Looking Good
Just got back from the Toronto International Boat Show and I was pleasantly surprised in several ways. First, the boats appeared somehow fresh. An impressive batch of new models and certainly a lot of new colours. Aqua hulls, mulberry with matching colour Mercs on the stern. I think it’s not unkind to say boats have been looking much the same, year after year but this year they looked refreshed and energetic.

Afewcompaniesinthe1960sbegantoproduce boards, but it wasn’t until circa 2010 that the technology advanced enough and MSR Engines (a small manufacturer in the Czech Republic) produced the first safe and reliable JETSURF motorized surfboard for the public.

Great Ideas for Marine Electronics Upgrades

In this feature, we have selected a series of the latest electronics products with an emphasis on great new Multifunction Displays since those are the gateway to the world of functions that you can add to your boat.

Telegraph Cove—from Resource Community to Tourist Delight
Telegraph Cove is a small indent situated on Johnstone Strait in the Salish Sea, 15nm southeast of Port McNeill and near Robson Bight, famous for its orca-rubbing beaches. The village has experienced many iterations with a long history—the harbour once served as a summer camp for the Kwakwaka’wakw who fished and hunted here beginning about 8,000 years ago. Many of their descendants still live in the area.
