Downtown Barrie BIA and Pride Marine Launch First Annual Barrie Boat Show

The inaugural Annual Barrie Boat Show will be hosted from Friday, June 16 to Sunday June 18 by the Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) in collaboration with Pride Marine Group and particularly Pride’s Craig Cernak who helped push the process along.

The show will take place on the recently renovated docks on the shore of Kempenfelt Bay at Heritage Park. For details, please visit www.barrieboatshow.com.

Searay 2It’s quickly become a large event with three marinas – Gordon Bay Marine, Legend Canada and Pride Marine Group –showcasing eight brands of boats – Malibu, Stanley Boats, Thunder Jet, Monterey, Legend, Robalo, Sea Ray, and Chris Craft. For wooden boat lovers, there will also be a number of one-of-a-kind antique boats that will bring something special to the show. In addition a number of other vendors will be on hand including Northstar Marine, Insurance, Pride Docking Systems, Active Green and Ross, Care Boat Club Lake Simcoe, and Dock Armor.

The Barrie Boat Show appears to already be making a name for itself – Craig Cernak reports that he has already been approached by additional exhibitors who would like to be part of the event next year as the city adds additional facilities.

Just when you thought you might never see the Galley Guys again, there they were waving from the flying bridge of a Le Boat Horizon 3 gliding down the Trent Severn Waterway (TSW) in the sun. Glorious!

In the past the Galley Guys have travelled far and wide to great locations to explore the good life on a boat. However, this year we stayed in our own backyard for a real treat; cruising The Trent Severn Waterway.
