The Deep Cove Yacht Club is a family and community minded club with a shared love of boating and water activities. Whether you’re new to the area, thinking about getting into boating or you’re a seasoned mariner, there’s something for everyone at DCYC.

The yacht club is located in beautiful Deep Cove between Panorama Park and the village of Deep Cove.

Club members enjoy a mutual interest in boating, sailing and the wonders and beauty of Indian Arm. From the Deep Cove club house to the outstation at the head of Indian Arm they are provided with some of best boating and scenic views of the Pacific Northwest.

Deep Cove

The clubhouse with its large windows looking out to Deep Cove’s mountain and sea vistas make for an inviting setting for any business or social function. Situated on a slope overlooking the Cove waters, the clubhouse’s open plan design makes it a flexible space for any type of event.

Deep Cove 2When you enter the Deep Cove Yacht Club clubhouse you notice that the display cases are filled with trophies. These trophies represent the long tradition of sailboat racing at DCYC. Over the years the club has produced many top-notch sailors. Even though some of the faces have changed, the rich racing/sailing tradition at DCYC continues on to this day. On any Sunday you will see the docks spilling over with crews getting the boats ready to race. You’ll find keelboat racing series, dingy sailing for juniors and major events such as the (Vancouver Area Racing Circuit) Martin Marine Deep Cove Regatta that DCYC will be hosting again this year in September. We have events to attract the serious sailboat racers and for the more casual sailors we have the Deep Cove Rally which is held in June.

Sailboat racing truly encompasses the great heritage and community spirit of DCYC. They welcome participation from the community and other clubs such as the Centennial Sailing Club. Members and non-members have made the racing program a huge success. To find out more about the sailboat racing program, please contact Fleet Captain Tony Gill or check out the notices in the racing section of the bulletin board downstairs at the clubhouse.

However, by embracing innovative solutions and adopting sustainable practices, both marinas and boaters hold the key to preserving and enhancing the quality of our lakes and marine life for generations to come.
