JBL Stereo

For anyone with a limited amount of dash or bulkhead area, but a desire for high-quality sound, it’s hard to beat the JBL PRV-275 from Prospec Electronics. The fully weatherproof Bluetooth-enabled stereo receiver has a 2-3/4″ color LCD display and built-in amplifier, yet only takes up 4-1/8″ of space—the same size as a standard small gauge. The cutout requires a 3-1/2″ hole.

The round JBL PRV-275 offers a wide range of listening possibilities. Aside from AM/FM and weather band, it has a USB port, and aux and video feed inputs. The receiver features versatile Bluetooth audio streaming with straightforward pairing as well as wired remote capability.

Built for extreme weather, the faceplate and controls of the JBL PRV-275 from Prospec Electronics are thunderstorm-rated and UV-stable for a long, trouble-free service life. The easy-to-use non-slip buttons and rotary encoder are engineered for intuitive use while in motion.

Belying its diminutive size, the JBL PRV-275 produces massive sound. Rated at 4 x 45W peak @ 4 ohms and 2-ohm stable, the stereo receiver delivers clean, accurate reproduction, even at top-end volume when paired with JBL marine speakers. It has three pairs of RCA pre-outs for amplifier and/or subwoofer expandability. It costs approximately $375.
