Boats: New to Canada – The Sailfish 276DC

The Sailfish 276DC the latest in the Sailfish’s versatile dual console line-up is coming to Canada. It’s available with a choice of twin outboards.

One of the first things you see from the bow is the Signature thru hull anchor system – with a polished stainless steel bow roller and scuff plate, a standard feature on the 276DC. Also up front, you’ll find deep, comfortable U-shaped chaise lounge seating with cup holders and storage never too far away. There’s also a removable bow table that sets up and easily stows away.   

Under the port lounge is an insulated fish box that can double as a cooler or dry storage. under bow center cushion, is an insulated cooler and on the starboard side the lounge opens in gull wing fashion revealing a giant storage area with room for even the longest cargo. There is also a large bow area in-floor storage compartment.
 
Cockpit comfort

Mid-ship you’ll find a well laid out helm station with a deluxe captain’s chair with a power slide, swivel action, and flip up armrests, for a full range of comfort. A Fusion Bluetooth stereo is standard issue on the 276DC as are high quality Wet Sounds speakers for playing your favorite tunes. On the passenger’s side there is a multi-position lounge seat with adjustable backrest, built-in storage, insulated cooler, and also a removable cooler.

Sailfish 276DCForward from the passenger lounge is a lockable finished fiberglass head compartment with Corian counter tops, mirror and a sink, and a pull out shower. Also mid ship you’ll find an in-floor ski locker or storage compartment between the passenger lounge and the helm.  The 276DC comes standard with an aft facing seat with cup holders and a sink that abuts the back of the captains’ seat. A refrigerated drawer can be added to the rear facing seat to keep your refreshments cold. 

A complete galley option is available in lieu of the aft facing seat featuring a large Corian countertop, sink with faucet, wine rack, cooler, and storage space.  Add a 12-volt refrigerator and you’re ready to party on the water. 

The 276DC has a stylish three-sided windshield integrated into a sweeping, powder coat hard top frame, supporting a fiberglass hardtop that runs the width of the beam providing plenty of shade. A roll-out SureShade option is available to provide even more cover from the sun in the rear of the boat. There are built-in stereo speakers, multi-color LED lighting, docking and spreader lights, pfd storage, and room for top mounted electronics, switches and gauges.

Sailfish 276DCLike all Sailfish models, the 276DC has the deepest gunnels of any boat in its class, keeping water out and people in.  Wrap around fold down seating and a removable aft table gives you plenty of room to socialize and when the seats and table are stowed the cockpit opens up for fishing. The 276DC also has an optional port side dive door for easy boarding to help when it’s time to bring in the big catch.

Along the transom and throughout the boat you’ll find ample amounts of stainless steel rod and cup holders, plus a built-in 30 gallon live-well. There is also a standard fresh water shower and optional retractable ski-tow bar that pulls up to allow a full-range of water sports and family fun.

In the water, is the proprietary Sailfish VDS-6 performance hull that delivers an amazingly smooth ride even in rough conditions. The boat is made with the highest quality materials and reinforced with Kevlar and Carbon fibre.

Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
