6 Awards for Nova Scotia at Sail Canada Rolex Awards
It was a big night for sailing in Nova Scotia at the annual Sail Canada Rolex Awards which were held in Toronto on Friday, February 6.
Warren Nethercote an International Sailing Judge from St. Margaret’s Bay was named Volunteer of the Year while Matthew Morash from the Hubbards Sailing Club was named Instructor of the Year.
Antonia Lewin-LaFrance from the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron won the Youth Female Athlete of the Year award.
Paul Tingley and his crew of Logan Campbell and Scott Lutes were named Male Athletes of the Year for their 2nd place finish at the World Championships held in Halifax last year.
The Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron won two awards at the event, Regatta of the Year for hosting the High Liner Disabled Sailing World Championships in August and also the award for Sail Training Program of the Year.
