New internet antenna offers impressive features and price

Glomex Internet Antenna

June 10, 2021

From streaming a repair video to downloading weather data, there are countless reasons to have Internet access 15 miles from shore. The new Glomex weBBoat® 4G Lite EVO, available from GA Communications, delivers stable, high-speed connectivity from a compact, lightweight antenna that’s ideal for smaller boats with limited space.

The weBBoat 4G Lite EVO antenna has two 4G/3G diversity antennas, one Wi-Fi antenna and an integrated 3G/4G/Wi-Fi router. The combination creates a fast and secure hotspot that allows up to 24 unique Wi-Fi-enabled devices to be used simultaneously without signal or performance degradation. With advanced built-in switching software, the device can automatically switch from cellular data to Wi-Fi signal such as at a marina.

The weBBoat 4G Lite EVO’s built-in router has one LAN port and one WAN port for network expansion. The router also has an integrated single SIM card slot in the 8″ H x 5.5″ diameter UV-resistant radome for adding cellular data from any US-based GSM carrier. A video is at bit.ly/WeBBoat4GLiteEVO.

Three enhancements set the weBBoat 4G Lite EVO apart from all other marine Internet antennas: automatic APN, advanced SMS and satellite passthrough. Automatic APN connects the antenna’s SIM card to the carrier without user programming. Using the mobile app wizard, it will also program the country and operator. The advanced SMS function allows the device to manage Internet consumption, and read and send messages.

With the automatic satellite passthrough switching mode, the weBBoat 4G Lite EVO antenna connects V-SAT/SAT signals, an existing onboard router or any other available five-band satellite Internet connection. This allows it to stay connected even if the 4G signal is lost. Users can easily configure the device’s connection priority such as 4G first, then Wi-Fi. Additionally, a fixed connection can be set for specific applications.

The weBBoat 4G Lite EVO features an encrypted real-time peer-to-peer connection for remote set-up and service. This allows the user to maximize the performance and usefulness of their coastal Internet integrated system. Plus, Glomex technicians can log on remotely to troubleshoot software and power issues.

Truly plug-and-play, the weBBoat 4G Lite EVO requires minimal setup. All functions are configured through the newly enhanced Android or iOS mobile app. It uses a flush or optional 1″-14 thread mount and a single power lead. The Glomex weBBoat 4G Lite EVO costs USD$619.
