JBL Subwoofer earns Award

JBL Subwoofer

May 14, 2020

Since its introduction last year, the JBL by Harman Marine BassPro 10″ Powered Subwoofer (JBLMBP10) from Prospec Electronics has gained widespread consumer attention. Completely self-contained, it makes adding powerful, low-end sound to any boat simple, without the usual complexity common with installing high-end marine audio components.

Now reaping industry awareness, it has won a 2020 Boating Industry Top Product award. The accolade honors 50 of the most exciting new products introduced the preceding year. Selected from among hundreds of submissions, the JBLMBP10 powered subwoofer proved itself for its impact on the industry, innovation and how it advanced its product category.

With a maximum power rating of 750W peak and 250W RMS, the Marine BassPro 10″ Powered Subwoofer delivers massive low-end sound. It has a frequency response of 40Hz–120Hz while the gain control, crossover, and bass boost can be accessed and controlled from the front.

Designed from the ground up for marine use, the Marine BassPro 10″ Powered Subwoofer is IPX5-rated. With a sealed magnet and motor structure, marinized circuit board and one-piece, UV-resistant polymer basket, the speaker is meant to conquer serious weather. Its modern white grille adapts to any boat décor.

At 14.17″ dia. x 12.91″ H, this subwoofer requires a 10.25″ cutout. Integrated pigtail leads make for fast and easy wiring.
