Celebrity sighting at Toronto Boat Show
The Toronto International Boat Show kicked off last Friday and the week has been booming. The very first Women’s Day event at the Toronto Boat Show on Sunday was a huge success despite the scary cold temperatures and weekday crowds have been enjoying the huge collection of boats, accessories and special presentations.

UK Sailmakers is back in Ontario
UK Sailmakers is re-opening in Ontario under the ownership of long time Canadian sailor Randy St. Jacques. Randy has 50 years of experience both racing and cruising on many boats. He is a very busy racer himself and active in the FPSC Fifty Point Sailing Club and in PHRF-LO with a C&C 30 MkII at Fifty Point.

Shellbacks Report and Programming
The Shellbacks Club of Toronto started their Christmas season with their annual Moosemilk luncheon. Gathering at Mimico Cruising Club, the Shellbacks had a delicious meal complemented by moose milk (egg nog and rum) and other Christmas delicacies. The buffet and dessert table that Mimico put out was spectacular.

BVI and Moorings full tilt for back-to-normal Spring Regatta
After last year’s large-scale efforts to stage the 2018 BVI Spring Regatta in the wake of Hurricane Irma, organizers and participants are looking forward to a more “normal” event this year. The stage is set for the 48thedition to begin on March 25-31, 2019.
