Offshore racing: Royal Ocean Racing Club cancels Cervantes Trophy, North Sea Race and Vice Admiral’s Cup
In line with the continued COVID-19 Government guidance, as well as advice from many of the host finishing clubs in Europe, the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) has, with regret, had to cancel or change a number of its key events.

New York opens limited marine facilities
Marinas in New York state can open on a limited basis, State Governor Andrew Cuomo announced in a statement on Saturday night. Cuomo said marinas can “open for personal use as long as strict social distancing and sanitization protocols are followed.”

2020 Canadian Sailing Hall of Fame Inductions
The Canadian Sailing Hall of Fame and the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes at Kingston are announcing the 2020 Inductees into the Canadian Sailing Hall of Fame. In these initial years, Inductees will be chosen by the Canadian Sailing Hall of Fame Management Committee, with representation from across the country.

CORK not cancelled….so far

Sneak Peak – Seven newbies from the 2019 US Sailboat Show in Annapolis
Celebrating their 50th year – the boat show was 10% bigger this year with larger boats and construction finished to help ease flooding with the city dock raised. Unfortunately, this was not enough, as the show had to close on Saturday due to excessive winds and a higher tide which caused flooding.
