This year is the first time since our beginnings in 1938 that CPS-ECP has held its National Conference and AGM with all our members participating virtually from the comfort and safety of their homes. I know we would have liked to have visited Windsor, but it was not meant to be.

News: NMMA cancels Miami and eight other winter boat shows
We’re not the only ones suffering from boat show withdrawal. Late on October 28, 2020, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), announced the cancellation of the 2021 Miami International Boat Show and eight other of their winter boat shows.

An Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) is a safety device carried by a vessel to alert search and rescue services and allow them to quickly locate you in the event of an emergency. When activated it transmits a coded message on the 406 MHz distress frequency which is monitored by the Cospas-Sarsat satellite system.

Ottawa Boat Show Postponed to 2022
For the past 45 years, the Ottawa Boat Show has been the unofficial launch of boating season in the Ottawa Region, welcoming hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors annually. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers have decided to postpone this year’s Ottawa Boat Show, which was scheduled to take place February 25-28, 2021…
