Marine Service Technician in an intensive 4-week block

Delta Technical Trades and Career Fair

Oct 24, 2019

There is exciting news for Marine Service Technicians (MST) across Canada. The new MST trade challenge process that was developed in 2018 is open to anyone in Canada. MST challengers can register to write their exam from any province or territory; they just have to be in BC to write the exam.

For those that don’t have the experience to challenge the whole MST Journeyperson ticket, the Industry Training Authority of BC has confirmed that any MST apprentice in Canada, even with an out-of-province employer sponsor, can take technical training here in BC. Quadrant Marine Institute Program has a new four-week intense training program available open to anyone anywhere in Canada.

“I have people who call me from across the country to ask what they can do if they don’t have local marine service training. This is great new—there is finally something we can do.” Said Shelley McIvor.
