2018 ABYC Poster The Lake Ontario Racing Council (LORC) season kicks off with the Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club Open Regatta on May 26 and 27.

The Evolution Sails ABYC Open will once again feature the club challenge and one design racing for fleets of 5 or more boats registered (J105, J24, J80, etc.) as well as PHRF and IRC racing. PHRF boats will course race on Saturday and do a distance race on Sunday.

The club invites everyone to bring their boats over on Friday evening to check in at the registration desk to pick up skipper’s packages. Entertainment on Friday features a “jam session.” Saturday afternoon you will be welcomed back to shore with music from the Madhatters. A great bbq will be held after racing on Saturday, including prizes and a 50-50 draw. Following dinner, Rockitship 7 provides music for dancing.

Sunday’s return to shore will again feature a bbq and, back by popular demand, music by Paul James and Sue as well as prize giving for the fleets racing on Sunday.
