Learning: The GLCC School 2021-22 Season begin November 16

Launching its twelfth school year, the GLCCSchool has become a premier source of practical training for sail and power cruisers on the Great Lakes and beyond. All you need to participate is a computer, a laptop or a tablet and an internet connection.

Fees are very affordable, typically $20 (with a $5discount offered to members of the Great Lakes Cruising Club and the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons). There are several Canadian instructors including Dave Spencer, Eric Sunstrum, Charlie Ellins and Roy Eaton, “The Voice of the North Channel” on VHF radio’s Little Current Cruisers’ Net.

Dave Spencer, who will deliver courses CG00320-g: Cruising Georgian Bay and the Thirty Thousand Islands on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 and CG00325-g: Cruising the Remote Waters of Northern Georgian Bay on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, lives in London, ON and is very active in the GLCC booth at the Toronto International Boat Show.
The GLCCSchool is operated by the Great Lakes Cruising Club. Founded in 1934 the GLCC is a non-profit, member driven, organization of over 2,500 US and Canadian Members dedicated to encouraging all boaters to explore the length and breadth of our five beautiful Great Lakes. One of the GLCC’s goals is furthering learning and education about the lakes and about boating. The GLCC has invested a great deal of time and energy into its GLCCSchool as this excellent endeavor gets right to the heart of meeting that goal.
