The Western Ontario District held their Annual General Meeting at the Windsor Yacht Club on April 28th to mark the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Windsor Power and Sail Squadron and Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons. The Windsor Yacht Club (WYC) is the original location of both organizations and where the first courses were instructed. Attended by C/C Chuck Beall, AP, P/C/C Doreen Hinksman, AP, P/C/C Joe Gatfield, JN and USPS P/C/C Ted Smith, SN the significance of the history of the WYC was detailed and enjoyed by many members of the Windsor Squadron, the Western Ontario District and 12 members from USPS D/9. As noted in the picture, time was taken to have a brief celebration and toast to 80 years for all three organizations as the WYC is only 1 year older than CPS-ECP.

The CPS-ECP flag flew at the Yacht Club to celebrate and greetings were received from the area MPP and the Mayor of the City of Windsor.

Happy Birthday….80 years young!!
