The Cranchi T36 at boot in 2018

From the lakes of Lombardy in Italy comes a boat for the owner looking fro a distinctive looking multi purpose sport cruiser. Cranchi bills it as a Crossover; its trawler hull and the generously proportioned deckhouse offer plenty of room and living space; the powerful Z-drive with two 330-hp diesel engines offers speeds of up to 40 knots.

Cranchi uses the slogan “The rationality of a trawler. The thrill of a cruiser.” The judges at the huge boot boat show, held in Dusseldorf recently, liked the concept enough to name it the European Boat of the Year in its class.

Cranchi t36The T36 Crossover was on display at the recently concluded Toronto Boat Show imported to this country by Cranchi Yacht Canada.

Cranchi T36President of the Canadian operation is Denis Poliseno, whose Italian-Canadian background makes him the right guy for this boat. Denis started working in his father’s boat repair business in 1960 and has been active in the business ever since.

We saw the boat at boot last year (2018) when it debuted to much applause and took some photos of its sleek lines and details then. The boats details have changed a bit and there are some customizable specifics that you can work out with Denis. Price tag – around C$650K+, a price made possible by the Canadian currency’s stability against the Euro.
