Oct 26, 2017

Many Canadians make an annual pilgrimage to Annapolis for the United States Sailboat Show each October to dream as much as to shop

As always there were a number of impressive new sailboats. A lot of visitors report that they were knocked out by the Oceanis 51.1, Beneteau’s new generation in long-distance cruising.

This latest model in the Oceanis collection comes with new customizations and 700 different combinations. To top this, major progress has been made in terms of performance. Marrying speed and great living comfort on board, she has a clear deck plan and outstanding maneuverability. Sailboat Sales Manager for Beneteau America, Chris Doscher, comments, “Even if you’re the kind of sailor who likes to stay well within the site of land, this is one seaworthy boat that’s capable of cruising wherever you want to take her.”
