Located in beautiful Summerside harbor, Summerside Yacht Club and Marina has room for 90 boats at slips with the ability to accommodate visiting yachts as large as 100ft. The marina has 30/50amp electrical service, WIFI, 7-10ft depth, pump out, ice and water. Gas and Diesel are both available. There is a visitor lounge on site with showers, laundry facilities and computer available. During July and August dock personnel will greet your arrival at quayside with a friendly welcome and a helping hand with docking and fuel. The Marina season begins in late April and ends in mid-October.

Summerside Yacht Club and Marina has a full-Service restaurant and bar called The Breakwater Bar and Grill, with seating for 100 and an additional 70 on 2 decks overlooking the marina. The Breakwater is open 7 days a week year-round. Free Entertainment is offered on Friday and Saturday nights in the Lounge and early Fri Evening entertainment is provided to the marina and outdoor decks on top of a member’s boat.

SYC Marina

SYC is located on the heart of Summerside’s waterfront and is within walking distance of grocery stores, liquor stores, shopping, banks, restaurants, and just about anything a visiting crew would need. Marine supplies are not far away and can be facilitated by the marina staff.

The Club offers a Jr Sailing program through their Sail Canada programs including Wet Feet, CANSail levels 1-4. The program has a fleet of 420’s and Optimus prams.

SYC Upper DeckSYC is part of a multi-use facility known as The Silver Fox Entertainment Complex. The Silver Fox is owned by its members but is completely open to the public and visitors are always welcomed. In addition to the Marina, there is The Silver Fox Curling Club, with 6 sheets of curling ice and a very active curling membership in the winter months. The facility also has a number of banquet and meeting rooms with a capacity 300 people. The Silver Fox hosts concerts and events for up to 850 people throughout the year and is the heart of Summerside’s waterfront

Summerside has a long history with the sea having been built on the shipbuilding industry through the 1800’s. At one pointSummerside boasted 8 shipyards on its waterfront. Summerside’s yards built hundreds of square riggers and which carried on trade worldwide.

During the summer months, more than 500 power and sail boats visit this beautiful marina. Visitors are from all parts of the world. Sailors on Northumberland Strait can’t afford to miss this great stop-over with the best facilities in Eastern Canada

Destination: Trent Severn Waterway ONE MORE TIME!

Just when you thought you might never see the Galley Guys again, there they were waving from the flying bridge of a Le Boat Horizon 3 gliding down the Trent Severn Waterway (TSW) in the sun. Glorious!

In the past the Galley Guys have travelled far and wide to great locations to explore the good life on a boat. However, this year we stayed in our own backyard for a real treat; cruising The Trent Severn Waterway.
