Bluewater Cruising Hosts Author/Cruiser Beth Leonard

Circumnavigator and cruising author Beth Leonard visits Vancouver Island this month for a series of presentations hosted by the Bluewater Cruising Association.

On Sunday, March 18, Leonard will present a seminar on Heavy Weather Sailing at Sidney North Saanich YC. The seminar runs from 1 to 5 pm, and cost is $40 for BCA members and $50 for the public.

On Monday, March 19, Leonard will offer a presentation entitled “Northern Lights” at Nanaimo YC, while on Tuesday, March 20 she will speak on “The Great Capes” at Royal Victoria YC. These events start at 7 pm; cost is $15 for BCA members and $20 for the public.

Leonard and partner Evans Starzinger have cruised more than 100,000 miles, including extensive high-latitude sailing in the Arctic and the Southern Ocean. Leonard is the author of The Voyager’s Handbook, Following Seas and Blue Horizons.
