2022, a new year for the Education Department at CPS-ECP
Oct 28, 2021
The Annual General Meeting marks the end of our training year but more importantly the beginning of the new year. As with the beginning of each new year we have adopted a few resolutions that we hope to keep.
In 2022, we intend to strengthen the online course offerings by implementing more courses in self-study format. The courses on the Moodle platform are well underway, thanks to our two coordinators, Tom Beaver for Eastern Canada and Barry Smith for Western Canada. We encourage those squadrons who have not yet experienced online training to get started. They will discover how it is possible to establish personal contact with students even though it is through a screen, and even recruit new members and volunteers for the squadron.
Another area where we intend to put some effort is learning, mastering and effectively using Office 365 and TEAMS. These are powerful and complex tools. We have made great strides since we have had them in hand, particularly with regard to online meetings. We are aware that we still have a lot to learn especially in the area of real-time collaboration and document management. We intend to set up workshops for squadron officers. There may be someone among you who is familiar with Office 365 and TEAMS. So, I’m asking for your help if you have some time to give us a hand and guidance
Thanks to all of you.
