Bruce Hayne Boating BC’s new Executive Director.

Surrey businessman and former City Councillor Bruce Hayne, has been appointed as Boating BC’s new Executive Director. Bruce is an accomplished business owner with an extensive marketing and advertising background. He also brings a great deal of experience at the government level, having served as a Councillor in the City of Surrey over a seven-year period.

The skills and experience Bruce Hayne brings will be an asset in both representing and advocating for the sector.

He will assume the position of Executive Director, effective January 6, 2020, and succeeds Lisa Geddes, who has been our Executive Director since June of 2014, and under whose guidance, Boating BC’s profile and presence as the voice of BC’s recreational boating industry, has been elevated.

Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
