If you were one the lucky folks who were able to attend either the Halifax International Boat Show in February or the Moncton Boat Show in March, you may well have picked up a copy of Boating Atlantic. This handy publication gives a very comprehensive list of a marinas and destinations in the four Atlantic Provinces. Boating Atlantic is a publication of the Atlantic Marine Trades Association (AMTA), the official voice of the recreational boating industry in Canada’s Maritime Provinces. AMTA is a not-for-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors working with its stakeholders to grow and enhance boating in the Atlantic Region of Canada and support its members in their endeavours.

AMTA members include manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, dealers and brokers of yachts, boats, engines and accessories, as well as marina operators, recreational marine service providers and other boating-related organizations. AMTA is the owner of the Halifax International Boat Show and a partner in Discover Boating, a national initiative to attract more people to the recreational boating lifestyle.

Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
