Montague Marina
Dec 5, 2016
Many boats cruising between Charlottetown and Nova Scotia often bypass what is, in my opinion, one of the nicest areas of PEI. The so called “Three Rivers Region” encompasses the rivers accessed from Cardigan Bay. The approaches are deep and the channels well marked to marinas at Cardigan, Brudenell (bring your golf clubs) and Montague. The Marina at Montague is located conveniently for restaurants, groceries etc. A draft of 10ft can be carried even at low water for the 5 mile trip up river to the marina and manager Andrew Rowe tells us he has accommodated yachts as large as 120ft.
The marina operates form May 1st until October 31st and accommodates approximately 60 boats on floating docks. Six to eight berths are reserved for visiting yachts. Washrooms with showers, premium gasoline and unmarked diesel fuel, a mast crane (for boats up to about 30 ft.), and a concrete launch ramp are on site. Sewage pump-out is available for a $10 fee. There is a night watchman and security gates.
Rates are 1.25 /ft. per day and 6.25/ft. by the week. For all information contact 902-838-2528 or visit: http://www.townofmontaguepei.com/marina
